Taprobane Tours & Travels grew out of a simple conviction — that Sri Lanka is a land like no other, and that the best way to experience it is with people who know and love it. From our home in Negombo, on the west coast just north of Colombo, we have spent more than fifteen years welcoming travellers to the island the ancient world knew as Serendib.

Founded and led by Nishantha Weragoda, the company has always been a family affair. What began with a single warm welcome at the airport has become a full ground-operation: hotels and transport, chauffeur-guides who double as storytellers, and itineraries shaped around each traveller rather than a fixed template.

As a licensed operator registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA/SQA/TA/02099), we hold ourselves to the highest standards of service and to a genuine commitment to social and environmental responsibility. We believe travel should give back to the places and people that make it possible.
